SmackDown Results 07/23/15

SmackDown results from Lincoln, NE:

Sheamus started off the show with a promo talking trash about Ambrose DDTing Big Show during Raw’s main event so he could get himself out of the match. He promised to give him an ass kicking in the upcoming match. Ambrose told Sheamus his profound words got him to thinking: It’s true, Sheamus does look stupid.

Sheamus defeated Dean Ambrose via pinfall. At one point, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper showed up in the match and surrounded the ring, distracting Ambrose. Sheamus connected on the Brogue Kick for the win.

Neville defeated Adam Rose via pinfall. Rose got sent to the floor late. Neville was able to hit  springboard moonsault in the ring and then the Red Arrow for the win. Stardust came out post-match, celebrating with some party favors before getting on the mic to talk about all Arrows falling to the ground no matter what color they are.

Rusev defeated Kevin Owens via contout. Rusev got kicked when charging at Owens in the corner late. Rusev came back with the super kick and eventually got ready to put on The Accolade, but Owens managed to roll to the outside. He stayed on the outside and failed to get back in for the ref’s 10 count yelling he’d fight on his terms.

Backstage, Cesaro was interviewed. Owens walked up and told Cesaro nobody cares about what his dreams are. Cesaro asked if he came from catering then said he just remembered Owens abandoned another match. Owens said he was going to head to catering so he can watch Cesaro lose to Rollins later. Cesaro told him to do what he does best and walk. Owens said “good luck buddy,” before leaving.

The Bella Twins defeated Naomi and Sasha via pinfall. Nikki hit an Alabama Slam on Naomi and went for The Rack Attack but Sasha broke it up. Brie came in and took out Sasha, then she and Alicia took down Tamina on the outside. Nikki hit a Rack Attack on Naomi for the win.

Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro via pinfall. Late in the match, Cesaro hit a huge uppercut to gain some advantage. Moments later, Rollins used the fact the ref was distracted to thumb Cesaro in the eye. He finished him with the Pedigree for the win. Post-Match, Rollins celebrated up the ramp as Kevin Owens came down past him. Owens got in the ring to pose over Cesaro before beating away on him to close out SmackDown.
