SmackDown Results 11/28/14

SmackDown results from Fort Wayne, IN:

Big Show came out to start off the show as a guest on The MizTV with Miz and Damien Sandow hosting. He was interrupted by Daniel Bryan. Bryan said he’d be running the show tonight since The Authority is gone. Brian also booked Ryback against Seth Rollins, Ziggler against Luke Harper for the IC title and Rusev into a battle royal with his US title on the line tonight. First up, Rusev would have to compete in a battle royal because he refused to recite the Pledge on RAW.

Rusev won the 20-man battle royal to retain the United States Championship. Among those in the match were Big Show, Los Matadors, Gold and Stardust, Miz and Mizdow, The Usos, Heath Slater, Erick Rowan, Adam Rose and Cesaro. It came down to Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger and Rusev. Swagger eliminated Kidd, and then both Rusev and Cesaro tried to eliminate Swagger but couldn’t. Cesaro thought he dumped Rusev out, but he held on. He rushed over at Swagger and Swagger backdropped Cesaro out of the ring. Swagger was barely on the apron so Rusev ran over and delivered a big kick to knock him off the apron.

Nikki Bella defeated Emma in a non-title match. Brie Bella was also there. AJ Lee came out to attack The Bellas post-match.

Ryback defeated Seth Rollins due to disqualification. Kane interfered in the match to cause the DQ. Kane used a steel chair to beat up Kane.

Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Curtis Axel, Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil in a six man tag match. Big E, Kofi and Woods were making their debut as the stable called “A New Day,” seen in promo videos over the past several weeks.

Bray Wyatt had a backstage promo about Dean Ambrose.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan announced Ryback vs. Kane in a Chairs Match at the TLC Pay-Per-View in December.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Luke Harper due to countout in an Intercontinental Championship match. Harper took a swing at Ziggler with the title belt after the match, but Ziggler avoided the shot, then hit the Zig Zag. Ziggler celebrated to close out SmackDown.
