SmackDown Results 02/07/14

SmackDown results from Des Moines, IA:

The show opened with Daniel Bryan calling out Kane after this past Monday's attack on Raw.  Bryan asked about Kane selling out and suggested that Kane and he used to be friends, saying Kane helped him grow as a person.  Kane claimed they were never friends and said he's quite comfortable in his new corner office.  Bryan told Kane to come to the ring to settle this like people who aren't friends, but Kane denied that request.  Instead, Kane told Bryan he'll fight one of the other Elimination Chamber comeptitors tonight: Antonio Cesaro.

Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler & Kofi Kingston via pinfall. The late part of the match saw Reigns go for a Superman Punch with Ambrose trying to sneak a tag.  A brief distraction allowed Kofi to grab Ambrose off the apron.  Ziggler hit the Fameasser for a near fall on Reigns.  Reigns recovered, then hit his Superman Punch and the spear.  Ambrose tagged in, smirking and took the pinfall for the win. Post-match, a promo came on the big screen from Bray Wyatt and family.  Bray mocked Shield for bickering among themselves about who's the best. Harper said they'd be first to burn.

Sheamus defeated Ryback via pinfall. Late in the match, Sheamus hit a powerslam then tried for a Brogue Kick.  Ryback caught it and then powerbombed Sheamus for the nearfall.  Ryback went for a Meathook Clothesline but Sheamus countered with a Brogue Kick for the pinfall.

They showed a segment from Michael Cole's interview with Triple H.  The COO got upset saying everything he does for the company is to help the superstars get better.  He booked John Cena vs. Randy Orton for Monday's Raw.

Renee Young spoke with Alberto Del Rio after footage was shown of him attacking Batista on Monday.  Del Rio said he's an animal trainer and would turn Batista into a little chihuaua drinking milk from a saucer.

After a commercial break, Antonio Cesaro was in the ring for his match.  Michael Cole announced Mark Henry is returning this Monday.

Daniel Bryan defated Antonio Cesaro via submission.  During the match, Cesaro was able to prevent Bryan's late splash attempt with a punch to the gut.  He went for the Neutralizer, but Bryan reversed and tried for the Yes Lock. Cesaro avoided that and was back on his feet.  Moments later, Cesaro stopped a headscissors attempt from Bryan, but Bryan got out of Cesaro's move, then put him into the Yes Lock to make him tap.  Post-match, Kane's music hit and he appeared on the ramp.  Bryan was distracted and Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on him.  Kane came down to the ring and chokeslammed Bryan, then stood over him in the ring.

Bray Wyatt defeated Goldust. Bray Wyatt defeated Goldust via pinfall.  The match lasted just over 3 minutes.  At one point, Wyatt rolled to the outside of the ring, where Goldust hit a rolling senton to the outside onto him.  Harper and Rowan started to attack Cody on the outside which distracted Goldust, allowing Bray to get in a sneak attack.  Bray hit Sister Abigail in the ring and then got the pinfall.  Post-match, The Shield appeared on the Titantron.  Ambrose talked about all the pride they have as a unit and they're the best in the business at what they do. Rollins said he's not afraid of them if they're man or monster.  He said he'll scrape the bears off their faces with his boots since they cost them a title shot at Elimination Chamber. Reigns said they know some ways to make people understand them, and they will understand The Shield at Elimination Chamber.

Randy Orton defeated Christian in a non-title match.  Randy Orton defeated Christian via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in this one, Christian set up and went for the Frog Splash but Orton avoided.  He hit a hanging DDT and went for the RKO.  Christian countered with a backslide for a near fall.  Christian tried to follow with the Killswitch, but Orton shoved him away.  Later, Christian went for a Sunset Flip out of the corner, only for Orton to hit the RKO on him and get the win.  SmackDown closed with Orton celebrating his big non-title victory over a Chamber opponent.
