Raw Results 12/23/13

WWE Raw results from Austin, TX:

The latest Raw was taped on December 17th in Austin, Texas, making the televised edition pre-recorded. The opening segment featured Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane coming to the ring.  They talked about everyone having a Merry Christmas.  WWE champion Randy Orton came to the ring. Orton talked about how it's all about the season of giving, and said he had a big-ticket, one-of-a-kind gift for The Authority: the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.  Steph and HHH were thankful over the gift and hugged Orton, with Kane approving in the background.  Kane closed things with a speech of his own before setting off his ring pyro.

A team of Total Divas divas defeated a team of other WWE divas via submission in a 12 divas tag match.  Natalya won by using the Sharpshooter to make Aksana tap out.  AJ Lee was not part of the match and said she'd be watching to see if any of the divas impressed her, so she could give them a divas title shot.

Sin Cara defeated Curtis Axel via pinfall.  Cara hit a handspring elbow smash late, but then Axel connected on a lariat to the back of Cara's head for the near fall.  Sin Cara was able to hit a top-rope dive moments later to get the pinfall.

The Wyatt Family defeated the Rhodes Brothers and Daniel Bryan via pinfall. Late in the match, there was chaos on the outside.  Goldust took out Rowan right after Rowan took out Daniel Bryan.  In the ring, Cody hit a Disaster Kick on Harper, but Bray had made a blind tag and grabbed Cody to hit Sister Abigail for the pinfall win.  Post-match, Harper hit a clothesline on Goldust, and Rowan threw Bryan into the barricade, before he and Harper brought Bryan in the ring.  Bray told them no violence.  He told Bryan he could've given him the world, but Bryan chose not accept it.  The Wyatt video cut out with the lights going out, and next Bray was seen back in his rocking chair with Harper and Rowan standing by.

Santino Marella and The Great Khali won a Christmas Carol Contest over 3MB and the team of R-Truth & Xavier Woods.  The crowd determined the winner of the contest by applause/noise.  It seemed as if the two "face" teams got equal crowd response, but Renee Young, in-ring host of the segment, declared Santino & Khali the winners.  3MB tried to jump them, but ended up getting tossed out by the four faces in the ring.

Fandango defeated Dolph Ziggler in a Present on a Pole Match.  The winner was the first to climb up to grab a present off the pole. Late in the match, Fandango was about to grab the present off the pole, but Ziggler crotched him to stop it.  Ziggler got his fingertips to the gift, but Fandango grabbed him and hit him head-first into the pole.  Ziggler fell to the floor, so Fandango reached up and snatched the gift down for himself.  The present/win gives Fandango an IC title shot against Big E Langston on next Monday's Raw.

The Usos defeated Prime Time Players via pinfall.  Late in the contest, Titus broke up a pin on Darren Young.  Titus ended up getting clotheslined out of the ring.  One of the Usos delivered a Superkick on Darren Young then an Uso climbed to the top rope and hit the Superfly Splash for the win.  After the win, The Usos and PTPs all danced the Millions of Dollars dance together in the ring.

Good Santa Mark Henry defeated Bad Santa Damien Sandow by pinfall.  Sandow tried to use a fire extinguisher to spray Henry but failed to get it to work.  Henry kicked Sandow in the gut, then sprayed him in the face.  He followed up with World's Strongest Slam for the win.  Post-match, Henry took some presents and opened one up to reveal a plate of Christmas cupcakes.  He took a bite of one, then shoved the rest of the plate into Sandow's face.

Los Matadores defeated the Real Americans via pinfall.  Los Matadores went for a late pin, but Swagger broke that up.  There was action on the outside of the ring, where El Torito ended up goring Cesaro.  Back in the ring, Primo hit a top-rope splash on Swagger to get the pinfall win.

Ryback defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall.  Ryback avoided the double leg Boom Drop from Kofi late, but Kofi hit a springboard cross body block moments later.  From there, he tried to hit punches on Ryback on the corner, but Ryback dropped Kofi face first onto the top turnbuckle.  He hit the Meathook Clothesline, then wished Kofi "Happy Holidays" and hit Shellshocked on him for the win.

John Cena, CM Punk & Big E Langston defeated The Shield in a six-man tag match due to DQ. Late in the contest, Cena went for AA on Rollins, but Reigns came in to hit a huge spear on Cena.  Punk was able to clear Reigns from the ring, but Ambrose cleared Punk out.  Ambrose walked into Langston, who hit the Big Ending on him.  Big E had the pin, but Reigns and Rollins were back to start beating down Langston causing a DQ.  Post-match, Shield kept beating down Langston, but Punk and Cena came in to make the save.  They all hit their finishers on the Shield members to close the show with Big E's music playing on.
